The final draft of the new government’s maiden budget was presented to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. This is the first of the budget which is a step towards renaissance to Sri Lanka.
President Anura Dissanayake reviewed the final draft of the 2025 budget ahead of its presentation in Parliament tomorrow (17).
The review took place at the Presidential Secretariat and was attended by Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Mahinda Siriwardena.
This is the first budget to be presented after 1948 independence, putting an end to family ruled politics.
80% of the civil servants have given their vote to the National People’s Power (NPP). But the citizens of the country gave their vote pointing out that the political criminals who bankrupted the country should be punished.
