President AKD returned to Sri Lanka

After completing the three-day official visit, the President of Sri Lanka, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake and other officials have returned home today (13) from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

President Anura Dissanayake went to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a three-day visit at the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan.

During this visit, the President also engaged in a bilateral discussion with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan, which has enabled the development of cooperation in many fields between the two countries, according to the report.

President Anura has also held discussions with executives of a number of leading global companies in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, energy, tourism, finance and media to attract investment to Sri Lanka.

In relation to the three-day visit, the United Arab Emirates has also agreed on investment protection and promotion agreements between its Ministry of Finance and Sri Lanka.

Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Mr. Vijitha Herath also joined for this visit.
