Once upon a time, there was a poor boy named Jack who lived with his widowed mother in a small cottage. They had nothing left except a cow, which provided them with milk. One day, their cow stopped giving milk, and Jack’s mother told him to take it to the market and sell it.

On his way to the market, Jack met a strange old man who offered him five magic beans in exchange for the cow. Jack was thrilled and quickly accepted the deal, believing the beans were special. When he returned home, his mother was furious and threw the beans out of the window before sending Jack to bed without dinner.

The next morning, Jack woke up to find an enormous beanstalk that had grown overnight, stretching high into the sky. Filled with curiosity, he climbed the beanstalk and found himself in a land above the clouds. There, he saw a magnificent castle and, being adventurous, he decided to explore inside.
The castle belonged to a fearsome giant who was known for hoarding treasures. Jack sneaked into the giant’s kitchen, where he met the giant’s kind-hearted wife. She gave him some food, but soon after, the giant stomped into the room, bellowing:

“Fee-fi-fo-fum,
I smell the blood of an Englishman,
Be he alive or be he dead,
I’ll grind his bones to make my bread!”
Terrified, Jack hid until the giant fell asleep. Then, he saw a golden hen that laid eggs made of solid gold. Carefully, he grabbed the hen and ran back down the beanstalk to his home.

With the hen, Jack and his mother became wealthy, but Jack’s curiosity led him to climb the beanstalk again. This time, he stole a magical harp that could play beautiful music by itself. As Jack tried to escape, the harp cried out, waking the giant.

The furious giant chased Jack down the beanstalk. Jack climbed as fast as he could and, as soon as he reached the ground, he grabbed an axe and chopped down the beanstalk. With a mighty crash, the beanstalk fell, and the giant tumbled down to his doom.
Jack and his mother lived happily ever after with the golden hen and the magical harp. They never went hungry again, and Jack learned the value of bravery and quick thinking.

The End.
